[Closed] vertex rotation in editable poly
Hi all,
Got a small issue here and don’t know how to go about it. If you have a 10 by 10 plane and you do a shape merge with a shape which has both convex and concave angles, then collapse to poly, go in edit polygon mode and delete the seleced polygons you’ll end up with a poly which has verts that now have the positive z axis in both positive and negative direction of the z axis of the editable poly! And of you try to bevel or extrude faces then you’ll get a mess…
Is there any way to correct this? Can you flip the matrix of the selected verts only?
I hope my question makes sense…
Thanks,
Anton
So nobody has any idea? Seems to me that the vertex’s pivot orientation is given by the vectors of the edges it’s connecting, because when you start moving that verex on the Z axis the orientation of the Z axis follows the angle of the edges with the horizontal plane.
By the way, even if you draw a concave spline and collapse to a poly you’ll have the same results, meaning the verts on the convexe side have the z orientation up while the ones on the concave have it down…
Thanks,
Anton
