[Closed] uvwUnwrapMod.stitchVerts true 1
So this method allows for using the Stitch command in the UVW unwrap modifier. How ever it does not by default have the Scale property set to true so the stitched UV’s are not scaled to fit as one would expect. There also doesn’t appear to be a switch for it.
Simple question, am I over looking something simple or would I have to scale the clusters of UV verts using the scaling methods provided? The latter sounds like a lot of work for something that is already an option.
The boolean parameter for stitchVerts functions is the align cluster option. It doesn’t do anything with scale as I know. But I remember that I stopper using stitchVerts for some reason in my tools. I preferred to set params in Stitch dialog first and use stitchVertsNoParams after.
kinda via MAX script … I open the dialog and set values in its controls. There is no other way via MXS.
I’m still smarting from the fact you cant load a saved UVW layout into the modifier via MXS, before I would even get to this.
I suppose you could use UIaccessor to check it via MXS? Where’s Zeboxx when you need him? :buttrock:
Funny thing is a lot of these sorts of issues crop up in old plugins that Peter wrote way back. Morpher, skin, UVW unwrap…
At this point I think that we need a rewrite on just about all the tools that he started pre max 4
