[Closed] UV transfer from Hi-Res to Low-Res mesh?

Is it possible to transfer the UVs from the Hi-res mesh to low-res mesh without using the Projection modifier?
The reason to not using the Projection modifier is that sometimes the projected UVs are far from the desired result.

Since number of texture verts are independent from number of mesh verts then I’d guess you could copy them from one mesh to another more or less directly.
I’m not sure if the result would be as expected though.
So loop through them on highres – recreate them on lowres.
You have to handle the offset between the meshe’s position etc too.
