[Closed] toolbar button state updates?

hi,

max toolbar buttons that link to toggles built into a modifier reflect the state of the toggle correctly for me, user-scripted buttons however do not.

e.g. i have icons for editable poly functionality like ‘ignore backfacing’ or the various transform constraints on a toolbar where activating the function by any method will highlight the icon. my own wrapper scripts for some standard features that do not show up in ‘customize UI’ do not update this way. nor seem any other 3rd party maxscript buttons i have on my toolbars to be able to do that.

any way to make this possible? the buttons that do work are very handy as a poor man’s status display. i’d like to build on that.
