Not use container, for NITROUS not have comments.
I use CAT for simple project but MIRROR pose option kill me.
Not work at all. I love to see better solution to mirror CAT rig.
Also modeling tools has to be improved; more integrated stuffs and less plugins

The Maya ads at the top of every page on the Area–and only sporadic Max ads.

the bloody sdk chm documentation, now worse than useless, slow and it crashes repeatedly. Index no longer works either you almost get the feeling that they would rather not have “outsiders” develop for their precious software. The rest of the sdk help seems to get more obtuse with every iteration. I’ve been doing this shit since max 1.2 and I can’t ever remember it being this bad it reads like it was written by a semi literate gibbon.

#1 Containers… just never worked in our workflow
#2 State Sets… we were promised node-based render manager, got a glorified macro recorder
#3 Populate… Just so much more potential there…

2015 the when floating the command panel, rollups are clipped on the right and if it’s set to one rollup wide then there not enough room for 1 row of tabs

looking good !

May I suggest you guys apply for beta so you can actually make a difference?

but we’d have nothing to bitch about besides I thought that’s what interns were for 😈

I’m sure you’ll find plenty to bitch about in the beta forum as well The difference being that AD is actually listening there!

we don’t run versions new enough to be worth ADs time, I only got 15 to prep for tools (i won’t actual be using it as such) that won’t get used till october at the earliest (we don’t tend to change versions mid game)

You’ll find a lot of people on there aren’t running the latest version in production (we’re still on max 2014), but I want to make sure when we do upgrade there is a reason to do it and there’s a benefit for us.

Had this too – did’nt notice before. Has to do with Windows border padding settings and depends on the windows theme used ( basic or aero etc… ). Went away after i tweaked my border padding setting down to zero. Additionally this removes the blank main window outline that appears on maximized main application window when using a basic windows theme. You will have to trigger a layout update on the command panel by dragging the side borders ( even if they do not resize ) after you changed this

UPDATE:
Just noted that at least in Windows 7 , there is a specific “Border Padding” Setting in the Personalize->Window color->Item drop down. No need for an external tweak tool in Windows 7 at least… don’t know about Windows 8…

There is an external tweak tool to for this:
i used Tiny Window Borders but that one is not maintained any longer, it’s superseded by Windows Aero tweaker , which provides the same tweaks for border padding
