[Closed] Tearing menus

Has anybody tried making tearing off menus like in Maya.

I haven’t seen anything like this in max, although it sure would be nice. I haven’t seen them in Maya but I think I know what you mean, you mean that you can drag and drop menus, right?

It could be possible, at least for the CreateDialog rollouts, since they have events for mousedown. I’m not sure the rollout floaters have events in them, will check later.

What you could do is to check, ok is mouse down on the meny, then if the user moves mouse outside the floater, you check if it’s still down, then you dynamically create a new meny and destroy the last one.
Something like that.
