[Closed] SPH particle plugin for 3ds max

hi.
my name is Omid and i work on SPhysics project with my Physicist friends. we succeed to make the SPH code in VC++ and now what to make a plug-in for 3ds max. but there is no useful help for particle sdk. so please some body help us , we just need a box of particle and some move method to make this great plugins for liquid and gas simulation . we want to make it for free for everyone and we know the real liquid and gas are big problem in 3ds max. we test it in VC++ and believe me it great , test it with matrix TXT and binary out put and check the result in Matlab and Paraview. we already have some experience in object plug-in and modifier plug-in and read the source of rain particle. but its not really helpful for this plug-in .
we will wait for Reply .

I’ve told Christopher Digginsthis, so maybe he can help you, he is one of the developers of 3dsMax SDK, you can find his blog here:

http://www.the-area.com/blogs/chris

Maybe you find something interesting that can help you.

Cheers.

thanks for your replay.
today i want to send him a massage on his blog but the autodesk blog refuse it.
so if you do it for me i will be happy.
thank you again for your reply.

You have to register in www.the-area.com and also you have to be logged in to be able to comment things.

I’ve already commented this in his blog and pointed him to this post.

Hope you can develop it soon, i’ll be happy to test this if you want, also don’t forget about the geometry creator for the fluids (and wet maps) and the volumetric shader for the smokes, specially for mental ray

Cheers and thanks for the work you are doing.

thanks for your help.
im allready register and login in Area but when i finish my comment and click on submit the page jump up and nothing happend mybe my account have a problem. its my pleasure that you be one off my plugin tester .

Maybe you have to activate your account (i don’t remember that) try looking into your email to see if you have received a conformation mail.

Cheers.

One more thing, maybe you can post some videos of that simulation system running, just out of curiosity, i’m a big fan of fluid simulators, in fact i love Blender smoke simulator and Blender Fluid simulator.

One more thing that i may ask if you are going to do that plugin is that you make it OpenCL or Cuda compilant, it may be really AWESOME!

Cheers and my best wishes for your development, if i can help you further let me know.

Cheers.

off course i will.
is the OpenCL or Cuda work in 3ds max ?
becuse it really easy and more faster.
we have a seminar about the physics symulation with GPU aginst CPU in manchester.
you know GPU prossesing 10-20 time faster than CPU prossesing in some case.
that’s not about our conference but interesting!

Cuda is supported over Physx, here you have the link, the plugin is freely available, but you are going to need an account to get it, here you have the link where you find the instructions to get the plugin.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

hi.
this is a test of this code base on sphysics code .
this test for liquid and of course can change for gas simulation .
we work on some diffrent code like magnetic field and we test all of then in c++ or fortran .
if it posible we want to make some plugin of them for 3ds max and maybe some other program in future.
here this is the test link :
http://www.3dfine.com/Download/physics/liquidT

if you enjoy it help us to make great plugin of it.
maybe magnetic field and some other physics code are to easy for first plugin test.
i can send you math paper and code if anyone can help us.
