[Closed] Select by superclassId? AnchorHelperObject

Hi Folks,

I’ve got a file that some dirty objects have crept into – it’s as if I had used a plugin I no longer have installed or opened a file from a newer version of max. When I open my file I get an error saying:

Filename:Built-in Class:AnchorHelperObject SuperClass:0x1160

I’ve got nothing in my scene that’s listing as a missing helper and I can’t seem to do any kind of max script search using something like where class == anchorhelperObject. Is it possible to search for objects using the superClass it’s given me so I can clean the files out? I had a tonne of issues recently due to differences in physx and service packs / product updates but this error is still annoying me. Anyone any thoughts?

Cheers!

John

That is an error related to state sets. Open state sets and Options > Reset State Sets. This will completely remove all State Sets data from the file and clean up the missing plugin error. Also, see Mike Truly’s post here on startup errors.

Hmm – I don’t have the advantage pack installed in max 2012 so that’s a weird one – I don’t have the state sets menu in my rendering menu either, only tools and manage scene states. Interestingly I’ve found that my layer manager has lost all my layers too. Might be time to throw out my max install and put it back in.

Much appreciated for the clues!
