[Closed] Scripted mouse tool to select helpers?

Hi all,

I have a scripted helper plugin and I’m wanting to be able to click and drag from one to another to define a connection between the two helpers. A mouse tool seems like the obvious choice, however since they are helper objects I can’t use something like intersectRay to determine which object I’ve selected.

Essentially I’m wanting the behaviour of the select and link tool, but instead of creating a hierarchy, run some arbitrary block of code.

Any ideas?
