[Closed] script request for modeling

I have no idea where to begin with max script, but I find that I am constantly doing the same thing over and over again when modeling…that is selecting a group of verts and scaling them down to zero, in either x,y or z.
Is there some way to make a script that will do this for me?
So all I have to do is select some verts, hit a button for either x, y or z to scale down to 0?
I’ve tried using the max listener, but that didn’t work.
I’m using max 6 btw.
Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Mesh Tools has this function, not sure if they have it for 6, but they included it on the bonus CD for Max 5,

Also do know about right clicking on the spinners. Select your verts and then click right click on the spinner next to the axis you want to flatten.

Does the same thing.

awesome! I didn’t know that was possible…that does save me some steps. thanks for the tip!
