[Closed] Renaming Maps!!!
Impus… That is just Brilliant!!!
Thanks alot for this, you have no idea how much time I used to spend to do this. And now it's just one click! :) Amazing!
Woww!
Isn't this the best forum or what!?
Cheers!
I just realized one thing, when I find and replace into the User Defined properties the last character or letter of the last line is replaced by a weird symbol (the “Enter” symbol I think):
Before:
object=mvs_dd_Cube
instance=Cube5_1
After:
Do you know why is this happening?
Thankx alot.
Sorry about that my bad. I’ve updated the ms file and reuploaded it. Give it a go.
Thanks again Impus for your help
Now the symbol is gone, but it’s still deleting the last character of the last line!
Before:
object=mvs_dd_machine_body
lod=2
distance=15
pickable=mesh
After:
object=mvs_dd_machine_body
lod=2
distance=15
pickable=mes
You’re help is highly appreciated
Cheers!
I’ve not seen any of these errors you are getting however I’ve made an extra security step inside the script to make sure it will only delete carrige returns and line feeds. This should stop any potential of what you are seeing.
Hi Impus,
it’s still deleting the last letter of the last line,
and if I keep pressing “Rename” it keeps deleting the letters with each press.
Maybe I’m doing something wrong!?
I created an object, in the User defined properties I wrote:
object
mesh
I select “Find & Replace”, I put for example
replace:object with: test
On What?
“All Selected Objects User Defined Properties”,
I click “Rename”
then I get:
test
mes
if I click rename again I get:
test
me
and each time I press rename, it deletes the last letter.
I wish I know how to fix it :S I really need your help!
Cheers!
OK now it’s really fixed! I’m 100% sure I found the issue so give it a go.
It works just perfect!
Amazing! Brilliant!
Thanks alot for everything.
Always a pleasure to meet professionals such as you Impus.
Cheers
