[Closed] Preserve a Pose?

Probably something very simple and obvious, but…

So I have a rigged character in T pose (bone skeleton)at frame 0.
I import animation via custom script (not written by me) say 0 to 30 frames long, therefore I loose the the T pose. So if I want to preserve the T pose in say frame -1 what would be the best way?
Essentially how do I store a pose? :curious:

it depends on how your rig was made… max built-in solution is save/load animation, but it works for limited controller types.

I had the same problem but not in a rigged character, it is not a scripting solution it is a trick, but maybe helps you

1_freeze transform and rotation of all your cnts and any objects which will receive animation, at Tpose in frame 0
2_Load your animation
3_select all the Cnts then select all the created keys in timeline and move them n (1,…) frame forward
4_Go to the frame 0 ,turn on Autokey and select all the cnts again and set Transform and Rotation to zero

Now you have your Tpose back with the animation.
hope It helps you ,or rings a bell for further solution.
