[Closed] Particle birth script not aligning

Hi all,

This is my first post here and already I have encountered a problem. A good friend of mine recommended here as you guys really know your stuff.

I am building a tornado animation and up until recently was not having any problems, but I decided I wanted the tornado to interact with objects, here is where the fun began. I built a model of a barn, nothing special but enough to get the idea across, I made each piece of the barn seperate so I could break it up using particles, nothing seemed to work, then I stumbled upon Bobo's Scripting Chunks tutorial, my prayers were answered this was exactly what I needed. I renamed all the parts of his script to fit in with my barn and as an animation it works fine but for some reason the particles are not lining up correctly at the start.

As you can see by the pic, the original barn is in the middle and surrounded by the particle version of itself, I need it to overlay as close as possible so when I hide the actual barn, you would be able to tell the difference.

If any more information is needed please let me know

Thanks

Hey Stuart,
Just a guess, but did you scale your barn using the max scale tool? You might want to apply a reset XForm before you run the script.
Cheers,
Dave

I don’t believe it,

all the stupid things I was trying and it was the xForm.

Thanks mate, you are a star
