[Closed] mzp copy error

getting a ‘copy error’ message when running mzp…it seems it can’t write to a directory of max even tho I have changed the read/write privileges. Anyone Have this problem and know a way around it?

What folder are you writing to?
And what version of max – and OS?

I have seen this often with ‘user access control’ on if you try to write within “program files” folder (and for example directly to c:\ root) and various other folders.

A easy way to check is to right-click 3dsmax shortcut, and select ‘run as administrator’, then run your mzp again.

thnx for response. I’m running max 014 on windows 8 . I have turned off UAC and running as admin…but can I reasonably ask a user to do this?

O you’re right…run as admin is correct. One last thing: How do I get copy command to copy contents of folder without specifically naming all the files within?
as in copy “C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014\stdplugs\stdscripts\IconsRV”,
where IconsRv contains 30 files.
