Inspired by this thread where I learned that the use of structs for tools has evolved,
making older search results less useful to we who are learning MXS in 2013.
What is the “state of the art” practice for MXS script and tool organization, distribution and installation? How do you organize and package your scripts for use by the team?
the most recent advice I could find was a snippet from Paul Neals’ 2012 Autodesk university class :
“A master tool is created that reads a preset directory and returns all the scripts (Sub Tools) found in it. “
Bobo’s wiki page at tech art.org is now 5 years old. is the advice still relevant?
jeff hannah’s script spot page about creating installers for max tools is older still, but the idea of an installer has appeal.
