[Closed] morphMap – automatic unwrap uvw

I’m sure I’ll come up with a few other things as I use it more.

BTW. I use your multi-object unwrap all the time, that’s incredibly useful for the stuff I’m doing at the moment.

I am delighted to see that the program is useful for so many people.

I had the idea of it when I worked on landscapes for the video game. It was conceived from a real need.
Unfortunately at that time, I did not know how to program. Then I made the unwrap of thousand of polygons manually. This lost time was not able to be used to make more objects or to be more creative…

Normally this tool should be very useful for all those who use often the unwrap for architectures and landscapes.

very strange…
You seem to be alone to have this problem.
I remove the symbol ” ° ” after each button of rotation.
I presume that is the source of the problem.

Try to download the program again (v0.24b) and keep me informed.

Which version of 3DSmax do you use ?
Do you use an unusual platform ?

I have alredy download your (v0.24b), The maxscript can run and have no warning.

The script is very good ,It’s easy to use

I have a Suggestion  Can you add Interaction ? For example  When I Adjust  u v w ,I can direct see texture change on the monitor.

But is not now, After loose the mouse ,can see change,It’s Convenient!

max’s modify uvw map have Function,When you adjust object’s u v w ,You can direct see texture change .

Yes, You are right. To make the changes interactive would be a great idea…

I do not have time for the moment because it is an important modification of the script.
But If somebody wants to collaborate with me to create an enhanced version, I do not see inconveniences there.

Hi Pretty Pixel, thanks for listening to my suggestions.

I think the issues with uv’s not welding could be what you explained since I have not been able to reproduce it in any other way.

What I mean by the faces being selected is simply that after you select faces and run the tool the same faces could be still selected in the poly baseobject. Would make it easier since I will probably want to unwrap those faces directly after applying the tool.

My last suggestion about the UVW unwrap editor is not completely necessary though and I can easially live without that.

I presume that you work with the “convert to polys” checked, isn’t ?

I have modified the behavior of the script in this case.

Now It will return to face mode when it’s necessary when “convert to polys” is checked.
It will be handier in this case.

The new version of ‘morphMap’ is available on scriptspot.

the main changes are:

  • now you can select several objects at the same time or you can select severals groups of faces of the same object (It’s the new option ‘Cluster’ which is actived by default)

  • the function ‘Face Map’ : an advanced face mapping. The number of points in the face have no importance: that does work with all faces

  • the interface is left/right dockable
