[Closed] Modify "Peel Mode" functionality in UVWUnwrap

Hey guys…and presumably girls too,

I was wondering if it would be possible to modify the functionality of the “Peel Mode” tool in Max 2012 that exists within the Unwrap UVW modifier so that when you enter Peel Mode, it doesn’t automatically do a Quick Peel?

I’m doing some hard surface stuff and the UVs have to be a certain way. I’m pretty much trying to use it as an FFD for UVs, but it keeps messing up my initial projections, which I want to remain largely the same. I just want to join together two separate projections done at different angles.

Hopefully that makes sense lol So, what do you guys think?

Brandon

LSCM (Peel) Mapping

<void><Unwrap_UVW>.LSCMInteractive <boolean>useExistingMapping

NEW in 3ds Max 2012: Enters ineractive peeling mode. If the argument is true, the existing mapping will be used.
Exposed via unwrap6 interface in 3ds Max 2012.

I came across this in the Maxscript help…but I don’t know how to script just yet so I haven’t the faintest idea how to implement it. But in any event, that sounds like what I need.

Any thoughts?

Anyone? Bueller?
