[Closed] MaxScript Tutorials

Hello everyone,

I’m searching around the internet for some good MaxScript tutorials. Most courses however are either too basic or at least 5+ years old. My question is: are MaxScript courses that use 3ds Max 5 / 6 / 7 even worth it to watch/purchase? Hasn’t MXS been updated extensively since then? I read somewhere that MaxScript went through some major changes in 3ds Max 8 and these tutorials use earlier versions.

I’ve also been searching for some advanced ParticleFlow courses that cover MaxScript as well, but these courses are very old too. So the same question for ParticleFlow: are Pflow courses from like five years ago still worth it?

Thanks!

still worth it…even 5 or so years ago…as long as you understand the basic …it ll became your step stone on your later…

Thankfully, MAXScript does not age a lot, so older courses might still be valueable.

Yeah, that one caught my eye. So even though the course is 6 years old, according to you guys it might still be worth it. Will give it a try (it’s free anyway)!

I think it’s a great (and free) course to get started with MAXScript in general.
Once you know all this, you might want to look into more specialized courses on focused topics, such as rigging, effects, matrix/geometry stuff…
