[Closed] Maxscript Editor – File Open/Save Properties

Still digging but I thought I would ask.

Does anyone now if you can set this behaviour, to say always open the #scripts folder or any other specified folder? Drives me bananas that 1. it doesn’t have the history drop-down in the file open/save and 2. it always reverts to whatever the last third-party Open/Save directory was.

Guess not

I did try using the “open.dialog.in.file.directory 1” command in each; the Maxscript properties file, global properties file, and the user properties file but doesn’t seem to work.

The command is supposed to set the File Open dialog to the current folder that the current open file is in.

MAXScript Editor – Properties File Settings open.dialog.in.file.directory(MAXScript default:not set)

Setting open.dialog.in.file.directoryto 1 causes the open dialog to initially display the same directory as the current file.

If it is 0 or not set, the last directory visited by the open dialog of the Editor will be used.

Unless of course I am misunderstanding something
