[Closed] loop through borders in poly subobject level

Hello all.
A small question: I need to do the following: Loop through all the borders in a poly object, check the distances between them, and when a specific distance is met, bridge the two borders. Is that possible? Somehow I am not able to find much information on border operations…

Found a way around it… I just caped the borders and used for the bridge the new faces instead… which I guess should have been quite obvious in the first place… however I would still like to know if there is a way to work with borders…
