Hi all, I´m working on a script for the multiple jobs to backburner, so far is working fine but I have this weird problem, the “include maps” option is set to true but no files are sent with the job. Anyone has the same problem?
What version of Max are you on, and which Update Pack are you running? I find that Maxscript has a love-hate relationship with backburner (and its hate manifests itself as routinely swapping which features of Backburner it actually supports).
For example, the last 3 product updates for 2013 have cited “Fixed net render submissions to backburner” in their maxscript fixes, and finally in Product Update 6 it’s true. And until then, asking for the name of a group returned simply an empty string. However, even now it doesn’t correctly return what servers are in those groups, and if you try to delete or create a group, the listener will say “OK” but it hasn’t actually done anything.
That’s the frustrating thing about working with Backburner via Maxscript – you never know if the problems are a result of you making a mistake, or Maxscript being buggered.
