Ipad though… ugh. At that point, you might as well buy a real computer(laptop)

whats funny is the difference between a real computer and an iPad is the operating system.

I travel for work a lot, commuting Portland to Los Angeles weekly at times. It’s all about the carry-on. iPad (any tablet) fits in the seat pocket so I don’t have to get up to dig it out of the overhead or out from under the seat. When drinks come, I don’t have to balance a laptop and my cocktail on the tiny tray table.

I don’t want to hijack this thread with any brand loyalty pissing contest… I’m not an Apple fanboy… I swear! (although I did vote for a Mac port of Max in that Autodesk user survey…:curious:)

This thread is about the app, not the platform. If we find a developer that we like, maybe we can collectively urge them to port their app to something else.

Collective bargaining!

Also there us one called Nimbus+ but it doesn’t have any ratings note does it look like it has colour coding. It is a proper code editor how ever.

Bah, only works for iSucks 4.2

Kind of reminds me of this fun project:
http://www.iron7.com/

Write Ruby on WP7 phone and compile and execute it on the phone. No need for a PC.

Except you have to have a winMobile phone . I had one for years, before I downgraded to an iPhone4 , and have had the most serious love/hate relationship with it. Half the time it wouldn’t connect via GSM even with 5 bars! (3 different phones) Maybe this is just my experience.

I would pay for an iPhone/iPad anyday over a free winMobile app. Everything I do with it it just works, no fussing. An MXS editor would be sweet, man iScite would be cool
