[Closed] I turned off the Macro recorder???
This is probably stupid but I’m so angry right now that I can’t think straight.
I can’t turn the Macro Recorder ON!!.
Everything is switched on in the Macro Recorder but no matter what I do in Max – create objects, move them – nothing shows up in the recorder!!.
It was working fine an hour ago and now it doesn’t.
Is there a way to switch MacroRecorder off even if in the menu it’s on??
I’m on Max 2010 x64.
Talk about a lucky shot.
Apparently turning on the VFB extension in Krakatoa 1.51 does that!!!
Sorry about that (a search of CGTalk would have helped too).
From the VFB Extensions page:
http://software.primefocusworld.com/software/support/krakatoa/rendered_frame_window_extensions_1_5.php
WARNING:
Enabling the VFB Extensions has the known undesired side effect of disabling the MAXScript MacroRecorder.
For this reason, the VFB Extensions are turned OFF by default and have to be enabled explicitly
using the large checkbutton in the Preferences rollout. This also requires a restart of 3ds Max
for the VFB Extensions to get loaded.
[left]I tried to fix this once again yesterday and could not figure it out. I think I am hitting some other bug inside of Max and will try to discuss this with the Max developers.

Once again, sorry for the trouble!
Yeah, problem was I wasn’t suspecting the VFB extension, and searching for Macro recorder related threads didn’t help
