[Closed] How to create node based ui

Hi, I want to create a node-based user interface, similar to the one found in Max Creation Graph and Slate Material Editor. I have my custom database in my tool that I want to update using node graph, Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks!

I will take a look at the QT and QGraphicsScene class and learn it in future, right now I am using c#/wpf, Thanks for your reply.

oh, you didn’t mention that. I’ve seen some wpf node editor projects on github. Nodify for example

If you want to keep everything in MAXScript, check out ‘Helium’ I think it’s on maxplugins.de

Agree! It is better to use what has already been implemented anyhow in MAX …
I have developed a couple of projects using Helium. It wasn’t fun, but it worked.

By the way… I don’t like any node-based editors and their ways of development and editing.
I’ve written over 50 shaders and I still love them, sometimes using cool tips, tricks, and finds from 15 years ago…
Furthermore, I made about 5 shaders using different node-based editors… When I look at them, I really hate them and the time I spent on them. I completely forgot how they are made and how they work… and more… most of these editors don’t exist anymore.
