[Closed] how to check if a folder exist with maxscript

I try to use the function:

[size=1]getDirectories “c:\ est\”

and the result is a empty array #()

this directorie doesnt ewxist on my hardrive , do anyone one know a easy sytem to check if path or directories exist.
