Hi,
is it possible to get data from a data operator with maxscript somehow? I am trying to write the position, rotation and scale of every particle to a file. I have done so with a script that loops through every particle in my system and stores the values I want into a file with a for loop.
It works but getting the data this way is very slow.
Now, if I insert a data operator into my PFlow and simply give it the Suboperators Inport Standard and Output New, right click on the former and say “show data” I see the position vectors of every particle in a list. This lists updates automatically when changing the frame and it updates rather quickly even if you have large quantities of particles.
This means that the data I requre to write to file is there. I just need a method to access it. So, is it possible to accesss this “show data” dialogue somehow, or is there a different method to gain access via max script or otherwise to this data?
