I’m sure its there and I’m just not spotting it. I have searched getDir and symbolic pathnames, but can’t find anything for getting the local appData directory that is used if useUserProfiles is set to 1 in the installSettings.ini file.
The directory that looks like… C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsmax\2010 – 32bit

getDir #maxData isn’t it?
“C:\Documents and Settings<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\3dsmax<max version>\enu” on my XP machine.
