I use the e-mail notification quite frequently – particularly over the weekend, to make sure renderings at the office are going ok.
Has anyone seen a script that can extend that function so that besides sending an email saying the image has finished (or failed) but can also send along a thumbnail?
Or does anyone have an idea on how to go about this?

I don’t have an answer to your question but I am interest on how you got this to work…I can never get it to send me mail…
I never needed to put anything in the “From” box, Just my e-mail address in the “To” box, then in the SMTP box goes the address for the mail server, usually something like “mail.yourdomain.com”
Since I leave the “From” box empty, the e-mail I get is from “nobody@nobody.com“
Anybody wanna take a stab at how to attach a thumbnail?
I have this, but it needs a bit more love. I’ll look into it and update it. stay tuned!
