[Closed] Element to smoothing group script

I’m trying to create a max script to loop though an object and assign a different smoothing group to each mesh element. I’m creating this because we create meshes in modo and set up smoothing groups in modo by cutting and pasting faces to break smoothing. But our final export to Unreal is through 3d max and if we do our normal map baking in modo, when we go to max we have to reset up our smoothing groups and its a major pain. Does anyone know how i would loop through the meshes elements and assign a smoothing group to each one? Thanks in advance for any kinda hints or help.
