[Closed] Editor questions

Sorry if this has come up before, but I have a few questions about the editor.

CTRL+B doesn't seem to work like in the old editor. You have to hold down shift as well and then it only half-heartedly selects the first brace, but not the last, so tabbing-in looks crap.

In fact – I’ve just found that the cursor even has to be on the same line as the opening or closing brace in order to even work! That’s sh1te.

Is there perhaps a better way to do this, or can the start and end points be changed, perhaps through a preference?

Is there any form of auto=formatting?

Does the editor support plugins?

More to come probably - thanks!

Another question – what is teh deal with dragging text? In most packages you can drag text to the top or bottom of teh screen and it will scroll the window. Is that not so with this editor!?

You’re not alone. The Ctrl+B functionality was and still is essential, and the lack of it in the new editor is inexcuseable for Autodesk. Flash’s ActionScript editor even has this feature (Ctrl+’).

Because of this missing feature alone, I still find myself preferring the old editor on larger scripts.

I’m still having problems with only being able to see one script at a time; just about getting used to it – it would be nice if the tabs were optional.
