[Closed] dynamic subdivision

I’m also looking at subdividing a mesh dynamicly based on a selection or inate quaility of the target faces like edge length. Has anyone here done anything like this? Im thinking of something like you would see in sculptris http://www.pixologic.com/sculptris/

A sample would be lovely or at least a small discussion about how you might go about it.
