Hiya, I have updated my SpliItUp script with a new version that works in max 6 and also should not give memory errors since the undo buffer is automatically cleared. Here is the link again:

small update, added the possibility to hold esc to interrupt the script if it takes too long.

Rivindale thats a fantastic script but i was wondering how i could make the object hollow. Thanks!
Making the object hollow is easier than making it solid. Just use PArray to break it up, then use a mesher object or something to make it a mesh. Although, you may or may not like the shape of the fragments…
Hey Rivendale, great script! Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for sharing! This is very useful…
By the way, cannot believe Max does not have such a fragment feature by default.
great scripting work on SplitItUp! But i had issues with more complex geometries is there a workaround?
cheers

Wow, I’m so sorry to have missed this topic! Looks like it was a great challenge, awesome scripts guys.
edit no wonder… this challenge was from 2005 Sorry about that
i used SplitItUp on that tests:
http://www.core2core.de/spielwiese/fracture-moldy-test.avi
&
http://core2core.de/spielwiese/frag-test-basics-only.mov
with the char i had issues at first fracturing it right. but i reseted Xforms and collapsed it and stuff and now it seems that it works just fine i got odd fracturing results with a mirrored and collapsed char…
kind regards

Great job guys!
I’ve been working on a tool like this for a few months. Most fun I had in a while. I asked our TCO if I’m allowed to release my tool on this site.
