[Closed] animated vray proxies > everyone askes but where to find?
In my break today i had a conversation with the other pipeline TD in the company i currently work at. The discussion dealt with vray proxy issues…i found some threads here in the script forum but no script at all.
what comes to my mind is a script that generates vray proxies from snaptshoted geometry and updates the proxies in every frame. that´s what the other proxy scripts are supposed to cover but i haven´t found one ´til now
is there a known script around?

i wrote a such a script. It’s idea was to change a vrayproxy’s mesh file path before each frame of an animation with a predifined list. And it worked as it should, except one “minor” problem – vray did not care that the path of the proxy is constantly changing, but rendered the proxy with the initial mesh. Then I asked what’s the problem and I received an answer from chaosgroup that currently vray checks the proxy mesh file path only ONCE – at the beginning of the rendering, and not after each frame
…does that mean i have to keep on sending single frame renders to the farm 😮
it´s a shame that there are some callbacks wich won´t work on vray…
