[Closed] A little challenge: Make a shell without Shell Modifier

Actually, I was hoping you found a little hidden treasure. Now that you have clarified it, it makes sense but it needs to be done in the source, so it’s a task for the SDK.

From within MXS something could be done either as you said storing the average vertex normal in a Vertex Data Channel or just doing some iteration, there are a few different ways to do it. Not sure if the Data Channel would be the fastest though.

It’s impossible for me just to imagine how to start.

When you’ll improve the slice modifier, add the challenge of a ‘finite slicer’ instead the infinite one.
