[Closed] Zoomerator (like) Script for 3Ds Max?
If you would actually do what I suggest you would have a solution, but apparently you think you are smarter than me. If you want a solution follow my directions, just make sure the zoom camera is a free camera.

Hi Eric, actually your thought was very right except the highlighted part. I tried what you suggested minus the parenting and it appears to be working.
Technically (ignoring that lil typo of thought) I will give you credit for finding this out.
Btw in the meantime I have managed to assemble a nifty hidden feature with UI buttons to control the virtual vp.
I feel this thread was kind of annoying for both of us for that little mis-communication, but I sincerely thank you for your effort.
The only reason for the parent is to inherit any motion or corrections you do to the main camera.
The OpenGL Virtual Viewport is ok, but means you lose all the directx enhancemnts that Max’s viewport speeds are based on. Also, IIRC virtual viewport has a limited amount of zoom you can do, but I haven’t used OpenGL in Max in years.
