[Closed] VErtex, indices numbering
Hi all,
As the title describes, can I change the vertex numbering, face indices and normal numbering to my own arbitrary numbering in 3DSMax. The aim is, when exporting to any format from 3Dsmax, say that .obj file, the vertex numbering are randomized, so the face indices. But I want them in an logically ordered ( e.g. CCW , CW, increased, decreased 2n+1 etc…)

I’m no expert but I think I’ve read about this issue before. I think you have to do this by rebuilding the mesh…
I’ve wanted this as well; especially after Symmetry mod etc.
It’s absolutely correct. The only way to do this is to rebuild the mesh. But it’s not a very complicated thing. The only thing that you really need to know how the new to old indices correspond.
