[Closed] Using mousetool to make a rectangle in view coordsys?

Hi Folks,

I’m trying to make a plugin to replace biped in character studio which is fine but it’d be really nice to have the draggable creation method. I can make a rectangle in a viewport using mouse tool but I can’t get it to respect the viewport that I’m drawing in. Effectively my workflow for the rig will be something like:

  1. Draw rectangle to fit around the character mesh to give a rough size (problems)
  2. Press a button that will take the width, height and coordinate system of the rectangle and use that to make a load of nulls to start up the bone positioning process etc…

It’s not that important really but it’d be nice to package it properly and control the coordinate systems so people can’t mess it up…
