[Closed] TransUV: Transfer UV regardless topology
Hi guys,
The trick using projection to transfer UV between objects has been around for quite a while. I put it into a maxscript macro to help make it easier.

Wow, you guys are lazy people dont like seating doing unwrap, .
Anyway, this script made to the Tip and Tutorial page of Autodesk’s Area so I hope they will add some feature like it to next version of MAX.

dude, that is amazing, i’ve been trying to do that with the projection modifier and i have never managed to make it work…the video looks awesome, i will try the script 2night at home and see how it works!!

soemthing that could be great to have is the optin to transfer not just the Uv’s based on the world space, but transfer the actual shape of an object based on the UV space, like the tranfer tool in maya, that could be a nice addition to the script!
As far as I know this script is using the projection modifier. It works fine here and has for some time. I think it is just a mater of picking the right object to put the projection modifier on.
Great script and saves time. That is what it is all about.
