[Closed] Substitute objects are not rotated the same as original

Hi,

I’m using the substitute modifier to replace a 2d object from autoCad with a “pivot” door. The problem is that when I use substitute it replaces the object it’s supposed to, but often it’s rotation is not correctly aligned to the original. Yes I can move it manually and it corrects the problem, but it would be nice if it would know how to rotate itself to match the existing. I’ve tried both “Retain Local rotation and scale” but they don’t work on this. Anyone have any ideas?
