[Closed] SoulburnScripts publically released

Hey everyone, I just updated my website with some scripts I’ve been working on, available here…

http://www.neilblevins.com/soulburnscripts/soulburnscripts.htm

Just a few scripts so far, but I do hope to add more in the near future. Nothing super fancy, just some utilities that I’ve needed to speed up my workflow, hopefully other people out there will find them useful too.

Thanks Neil, always good to have more tools at our disposal!

How does cameraFromPerspView differ from the “Create Camera from View” command?

It works with Brazil cameras, it’ll also convert a camera view into a new camera view, and it’ll let you put a safeframe automatically in when you run the script.

Ah! Splendid.

Hey Neil,

Your soulburn pack is always a very nice one, thanks for updating it!

Thanks Light. Although this is the first set of soulburnscripts, the other packs were blurpacks that Brandon Davis and I contributed to while we were at blur all those many years ago. The soulburnscripts will never replace the old blurpacks, since they will be focusing more on the tools I’m needing for my personal work now as opposed to the work we did back then. So no character studio stuff for example. But hopefully the tool that are there will be helpful.

Thanks, and yes, something like that is planned for the future, thanks for the suggestion.

Good stuff neil, thanks for sharing.

Just skipped over the website and had another idea for a script. how about “getMatFromSelectedObjects” to put all the materials of the selected objects into medit slots

Oh, actually I was calling them soulburn pack really, I guess it is because I saw mostly your name [along with the “soulburn” word/email] in those scripts.

Thanks for the clarification, now I know what I am using!

Awsome. I’m assuming they work in 6.x? Oh well, ill find out soon enough!

Thanks. While I only guarantee they’ll work in max7, most of the scripts work in max6 and even max5, if you want to use them there you’re on your own but feel free to give them a try.
