[Closed] Script – Photon tools

This is a script that I came up with. My friend PDE wrote it. Just geometry lights for use with most of the GI renderers (I have only tested it with vray and brazil) It basically automates some of the stuff I use in production. It consist of basic geometry objects and a shader with an output map applied to the diffuse. Give it a try and tell me what you think. I will post a tutorial when I get around to putting it together.

install:
put the 2 files in the scripts\startup

access it in the creation panel – geometry – photon tools

It will ask you if you want to assign a map for the geometry …if you want just white then hie cancel…uisually go with whie unless making an absorber object…hdri images are good for absorber objects.

The light intensity is controlled by the rgb level in the output map.

If you are using Brazil …indirect illumination must be on for geometry lights to be supported.

Tell me what you think of it
