as I am trying to find a solution for easy crowd animation I stumbled upon a script called “Crowd It” ( http://crowdit.worldofpolygons.com/What_is.html ). However, the Script is rather old and therefore I did not manage to get it running in Max2011 at all. However, in 2008 (the oldest max i could find here in the office) it did start. But there was an error message (“DLL <maxpath\plugins\PointCache2.dlm> failed to initialize. Error Code:127 – The specified proceuder could not be found”). When I then go an create some master agents, save them and then try to put them in the scene, i get an error message, that there was an error and i should try to resave them.
Has anyone ever tried this script themselves and experienced something like that? And has someone ever got that script working in a more recent release (2010/2011)?
I’d really like to see, what that script is capable of. And if the owner of it is reading: I also would be very interested in the structure of the script, as I would like to create something like it (or if possible – improve the old script). And if you were wondering: I tried to mail him, but no response
