I have 3dsmax 7 and I cant seem to set a shortcut for the 鈥渞ing鈥?and 鈥渓oop鈥?buttons in subobject mode. Am I just missing something or doest it require a script or something? If anyone could shed a little light my way I would be eternally grateful鈥?/p>
If you want to set a keyboard shortcut they鈥檙e under the Editable Poly group listed as 鈥淪elect Edge Loop鈥?and 鈥淪elect Edge Ring鈥? Is that what you鈥檙e looking for?

alt+r, and alt+l work as well Select an edge and try both

Does anybody know how to do an inclusive selection change? I dont know what it is called, but say when you are in edge mode鈥?and you crtl+click on vertex/face it converts your current selection to the adjacent vertex/face. There is a command that converts to vertices/faces that are shared or between the edge鈥?/p>

ctrl+shift+click on the button. You can set the ctrl+click to hotkeys (it鈥檚 called convert to vert/edge/face, I use ctrl+1, ctrl+2, ctrl+4), but I haven鈥檛 been able to find a way to do the same for the 鈥渋nclusive鈥?method. anyone?
