[Closed] Random Material ID for Individual Polygons in Object

Been searching for a way to break an object into its separate polygons where each polygon becomes itself a separate object (retaining its XYZ polygon location).

Thought I could use a separate object by Material ID script if only I had a way of setting each polygon in the Master object to a separate random material ID.

This script breaks the object into seperate parts (by polygon) which was my original goal – didn’t need to use the random Material ID path.

what’s wrong with edit mesh -> explode?

it’s a button at the end. If you use a right threshold it might work.
