[Closed] One ray to another: closest point?

Is there any way to take 2 rays and determine where, along one ray, is the closest point to intersecting the other ray? Obviously if they actually DO intersect that would be the closest point to intersecting…

Is this possible?

To put a link is not a big deal.
Thank guy who opened that thread…

Hi Kevin,
if you’re looking for “The shortest line between two lines in 3D” this link could be of help. It also has a ready to use function in MaxScript credited to Chris Johnson. You can make use of it to get what you need with rays.

Thanks, that’s actually very close to what I ended up with after making a few changes to the function in the thread Denis mentioned
