[Closed] OMG, restore my mcr file version

People, I will cry now.
Max closed accidentally and saved my mcr file with null inside. The script was almost done.
I was keeping the file in skydrive to be safer, but now, I can’t get it back at all.
I found just in
C:\Users…\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent
a shortcut to it
and in C:\TEMP an empty mcr file.

Tell me please, when I evaluate a file mcr, where does max save this version? On my computer, system restore is switched off!

if you evaluated the script it should have been placed to your “usermacros” folder

By default this is somewhere in your users app folder, the final path depends on the Max language version too that you use…

Easiest way to directly get the folder is typing the following in the Max listener

getdir #usermacros

This prints your #usermacros folder and your evaluated macroscript should be in there…

if you’ve evaluted you can open it from max … right click on the task bar… customize…
find the macro in the actions list (can be reduced if you remember the category you specified)
and right click on the menu item will give you Edit Macro Script option

I was evaluating it without category – my mistake – I evaluate it often and didn’t want to press after evaluation hot key everytime. I think now I have no chance

Unfortunately it’s not there.
getdir #usermacros
“C:\Users…\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2012 – 64bit\enu\UI\usermacros”

I commented
–macroScript CamStates category:“01”
(

)
and it didn’t save here, I don’t know why!
