[Closed] Need help with "simple" viewport control script

So I basically know next to nothing about maxscript, so if somebody could assist me with this, it would be mucho appreciated…

Anyway, here's what I'm attempting to do:

I want to create 2 new custom key commands:

#1) A viewport "pan" which pans when I press down a custom keybind, and automatically switches to the camera "dolly" mode when I mouse up.

#2) A viewport "rotate" that pans when I press down the button, and also switches to camera "dolly" mode when I mouse up.

I did this very same thing in Maya using the "press" and "release" options in the hotkey editor, but I am unsure how to do the equivalent in Max. I assume this should be a piece of cake for you maxscript gurus.

Thoughts?

:)

Maybe rather then scripting a tool that does almost what you need, with probably a lot of hacking. Have a look at this. I don’t know if it has all the features you need, but if so, you’ll be 50 bucks poorer but a lot happier

This will be going to the company credit-card anyway

Yeah I’ve had my eye on that script for a while. Any idea if this has key-binding functionality across the board for all key commands?
