I confess, I am a pretty wak scripter so mock my feeble skills if you will but otherwise, here’s the prob:
If I open up a new script window, and type in my amazing new script –
max select invert
max delete
max select invert
max tool zoomextents
max file saveas
max undo
max undo
max undo
max views undo
[font=Verdana]And then evaluate the script, it works fine (it’s kinda like a save selection that absolutly doesn’t save any other objects off). But then when i drag it to the toolbar it only does the save as command and misses out everything beforehand… Does anyone know a reason as to why it would do this. I know this is a pretty naff script but I’m terying to figure these problems out to make it a little easier for me in future…[/font]

I think I can help you with this, but why doesn’t “Save Selection” work for you?
Save selection always brings in other objects that aren’t selected, things that are linked or loosely related even. It also doesn’t save a thumbnail with the max scene and because i’m saving a lot of little parts off this would be handy for me. I’m kinda just posting because it seems a little wierd that it didn’t work as a macroscript although it worked fine being evaluated in the script window
What about saveNodes? I think this may be what you need.
