[Closed] MaxScript beautifier

Ehm…in what sense should it be made more beautiful? Do you mean something like auto-indention and spacing? Or do you want ascii-art in comments between your code?

I guess the simple answer is: if you want good looking code, write it so.

Is it possible to get ACTUAL, clear, detailed questions on this forum? Or do we all have to endure vague posts by people with no sense of humor, and rude comments about how we are “writing useless crap” when we are simply trying to help and figure out what you are actually asking.

Oh, and no I haven’t heard of anything that will clean up your code for you (just assuming that’s what you’re actually asking, I’m honestly not sure). Generally speaking though, if you like your code a certain way you should probably write it like that and eliminate the need for something to “beautify” your script. …unless you’re talking about other peoples’ code, in which case you’d still likely have to write your own because the “beautification” process that you like might be very specific.

One more edit: If you want help with this “beautifier” feel free to post up some specific ideas / plans on what it should and should not do, and maybe we can point you in the right direction.

…and now we finally know that you want a “code beautyfier for ms” !! I don’t really know the specifics of what a beautifier SPECIFICALLY does, since you haven’t explained it once, but really, it sounds like you’re looking for something to clean up other peoples’ code for you? For one, why? I bet the people who wrote think it’s plenty beautiful. And two, if you could actually be specific about what you wanted instead of resorting to childish insults, I think we could actually make some progress. Maybe this thing could other people too… I’m sure we will never know.

The first post was actually very helpful for the rest of us in asking ” Do you mean something like auto-indention and spacing? ” and yes, the part about the ascii art was quite humorous. …but you have still hypocritically failed to respond to that question anyway… or maybe not, I guess the rest of us just aren’t up to your level, since we all fail to understand your incredibly detailed explanation for what a “code beautyfier for ms” actually is. I guess you’re on your own since I’m “too slow” and everybody else writes “useless crap”

No, actually, in spite of about 10 years writing code I`m not disiplined enough to make my code clean and nice looking as I go. So I use PolyStyle all the time to BEAUTIFY” my code.

I hoped there was a similar BEAUTYFIER for ms.
