[Closed] Max UI font family?

What font does Max rollout’s use?
I ask this because say for example I want to use a character found in the Character Map like a bullet or something, I’d need to know the font family to correspond correctly.

I think all fonts in Max are “MS Sans Serif” and hardcoded mostly

I don’t think so. I think that the max uses System Fonts… It differs for different types of UI elements, and differs for different Window Themes. For MXS (rollout) controls for example it’s the Dialog Font. Which by default is “Tahoma”.

good to know for dotnet integration too – i had been using segoeUI and knew it looked a little off…

Thanks Josef,
I wish the allowed users to adjust the font in maxscript, doing bold and italics…
anyways, Thanks again!

bad idea, different “wacky” tool interfaces just look crap. Bold MS Comic Sans button text in blue and violet no thanks, that would get very tiring very quick.

clearly you have no taste in design.

For certain situations it would be useful to be able to bold things.

see i’m tired already

AWESOME! I love it hahahaha.

Whoa – major leak alert !!!
Where did you get that screenshot from the latest XBR UI initiative from ?
I thought this was under strict NDA and for beta members only ?
Damn, i have to inform Ken now, being on sabbatical or not …
